- I'm a well-published Internet essayist. I write under my full name, Donald Croft Brickner. I encourage those interested to look up my work and on any search engine (I tend to take up 3-5 pages of "hits.") My background is in philosophy and ontology, and of late I've endeavored to provide insights to, and a context for, an America in the early-to-middle stages of a profound psychological and spiritual transformation -- honestly! (I don't do comedy, but I can be funny, and at times I am. Please check out my stuff. I believe you'll find it unique, and surprisingly readable.) I'm an honorably discharged Navy journalist from the Vietnam era, and spent 14 years as an editor, columnist, reporter and sports clerk. I'm a member of Red Sox Nation.
