The first time I met Chelsea was when she was on the Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang Tour in NYC. It was the second night at Radio City and I was extremely excited because my friend had gotten us VIP tickets for my birthday and we were going to be part of a select few who got to meet her. She said during the show that she usually did book signings but because of the venue she wasn't able to, so this got us extra pumped. I had my copy of "Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea" for her to sign because it was my favorite of her three books and it was what my sister and I listened to on a road trip across the country.

When it was my turn to meet Chelsea, I asked her if she could write "Not Interested? Neither am I" in my book because it was my favorite line from the book, as well as a joke from the trip with my sister. Chelsea laughed and wrote it along with "Cheers!" The evening ended with a somewhat awkward photo my friend and I with Chelsea, but it was a borderline amazing evening and one of the best birthday presents a friend had ever gotten me.

This does not disappoint. You have no further obligation to do anything with chocolate cream-filled cookies at this time.
Nope, never.. but someday hopefully.

I met Chelsea at a book signing after her show in Salt Lake City. I was towards the end of the line and when I got there, she was still happy to sign books. She was asking me questions and thanking me for waiting (can you believe that?) and I just stared at her without, saying a word. I was in shock that she was there, right in front of me. And talking to me! I just hope she didn't think I was retarded, or worse, rude. If I had it to do over, I would. Sorry Chelsea and thank YOU!

It was during the first week of her CCBB book tour. After the show (which Josh opened with a ridiculously fantastic set), I was one of the first in line to get my book signed. It had been a long, awful day and I was extremely excited to finally get to meet her face to face.

Once I got up to the table, I was able to get a few coherent sentences out about Chunk (she'd recently adopted him) before the verbal diarrhea kicked in. At that point, I just remember hearing myself say "I fucking love you! I fucking love you!" over and over while collecting my book and walking away.

When I got outside, all the adrenaline came to a head. I spontaneously screamed "YEEESSSSS!" into the heavens on that San Francisco night while holding up my book in triumph. If you were within earshot, I'm sorry. It's just that it's not every day that your dreams come true.

Ha ha that's funny...I'd be exactly the same!
No, NEVER but I feel like I already know her from pasts lives, And I live in BRAZIL so never. I love her so much but one day I KNOW I'll really meet her.

I met Chelsea, Roy, & Chris F.  I was soo geeked out I blogged about it. Click on the link above and read about the most fun I've had since I was 15 and discovered a place in a bad neighborhood that sold alcohol to minors.

p.s. She is very small despite her stylists trying to make her look otherwise ; )

my friends seriously have had to become Chelsea fans or I don't talk to them  lol...  truth.
